🔧 GM LS V8 Family
General Motors' LS engine family — spanning the LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7, and LS9 — became the most transplanted performance engine in North America. Compact, light, aluminium construction, and a wide aftermarket made the LS platform the default engine for hot rods, kit cars, racing applications, and factory performance cars. The LS6 in the C5 Z06 and the LS2 in the TrailBlazer SS are notable production fitments.
