Bontrager Aeolus RSL 51V is the flagship road carbon wheelset from Trek's own component brand, specced on the Trek Madone SLR 9 and Emonda SLR 9 at their top build levels. The RSL (Race Shop Limited) designation indicates the same specification used by Trek's Madone RSL pro team race bike. Its 51 mm rim depth provides aerodynamic advantage in crosswinds compared with the 60+ mm category while the Variable Oversize (V) lacing with 16F/21R spoke count gives lateral stiffness for sprinting. The Madone SLR 9 aerodynamics are specifically optimised with this exact wheelset; the Emonda's SLR frame is designed to accept RSL 51V as its native upgrade.
