🔧 Subaru EJ20 Turbocharged Boxer Engine

The EJ20 is the horizontally-opposed (boxer) turbocharged engine at the heart of every Subaru World Rally Championship win from 1995 to 2003. Its flat layout lowers the centre of gravity and enables the symmetrical all-wheel-drive system that makes every Subaru WRX STI. The EJ207 2.0L version in Japanese-market STIs produces 280 hp factory-rated; the GC8 RA (Version 4) uses Öhlins suspension with an EJ207 producing closer to 320 hp in test. The legacy-bd-rs uses the EJ20G, an earlier twin-scroll variant.
