🔩 ZF Sachs CDC Adaptive Damper
ZF Sachs supplies its Continuous Damping Control (CDC) adaptive shock absorbers to Audi, BMW, and Porsche under their respective system brand names: Audi Drive Select CDC, BMW Adaptive M Suspension, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). All three systems use the same Sachs CDC valve — an electrorheological valve that varies oil flow in 1 ms — while the OEM brands provide the control software and sensor suite. This means a Sachs CDC valve from an RS6 Avant is electrically identical to one from a 911 Carrera or M3.
