🔧 Moto Guzzi 90° Transverse V-Twin Engine
Moto Guzzi has used a longitudinal 90° V-twin engine with transversely-mounted cylinders since the V7 of 1967. The right cylinder pokes out into the airstream at the rider's right knee; the left cylinder mirrors it. This unique layout provides extraordinary mechanical balance, eliminates secondary vibration without a balancer shaft, and allows shaft drive without a bevel gear. The same transverse V-twin architecture — refined continuously for 57 years — powers every Moto Guzzi from the 1972 V7 Sport to the 2024 V100 Mandello.
