The fourth-generation Jimny is the only current production vehicle with a solid front axle, ladder frame, and two-speed transfer case in a sub-1,100 kg package. Its 1.5L K15B engine produces 102 hp — enough in a 1,075 kg vehicle. In Japan, waiting lists exceeded two years from launch. Motoring journalists called it the best off-road vehicle per gram ever made.
