The modern Defender departed from the traditional separate chassis in favour of a monocoque construction, while retaining the Defender's legendary off-road credentials. The 90 V8 uses the 5.0L supercharged Jaguar V8 in a short-wheelbase body, producing 525 hp — making it the fastest Land Rover Defender ever built while retaining 900 mm water wading depth.
