Nissin Kogyo is Honda's preferred brake supplier, providing 4-piston radial-mount calipers across the Honda range from the 1992 CBR900RR Fireblade to the current Africa Twin and CB750 Hornet. While Brembo dominates the Ducati/Aprilia/Triumph world, Nissin dominates the Honda world. The same 4-piston Nissin caliper architecture — 30/27 mm staggered pistons in a sliding cast-aluminium body — is shared between sports bikes and adventure tourers, reflecting Honda's philosophy of using proven shared components across vehicle types.
