Land Rover Series II
David Bache's restyled Series II offered a cleaner, more integrated body with a wider track and improved leaf springs. The new 2.25-litre engines — both petrol and diesel — gave better low-range power, and the three-door body became the standard for practical off-roaders worldwide for the next two decades.
