🛑 Magura MT5 / MT7 4-Piston Hydraulic Brake
Magura's MT5 and MT7 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes are specified by Cannondale, BMC, and several European bike brands as OEM on trail and enduro builds. Their distinctive blue-anodised caliper is instantly recognisable in the peloton. The MT5 uses mineral oil (unlike most competitors' DOT fluid) which is less aggressive on paint and more temperature stable, and the same mineral oil serves the MT5e e-bike variant. BMC's Fourstroke 01 XC race bike uses MT7 specifically for their sub-2kg build weight target.
