⚙️ Chrysler TorqueFlite A727 Automatic
The Chrysler TorqueFlite A727 is widely regarded as the strongest 3-speed automatic transmission ever mass-produced, capable of handling the torque of the 426 HEMI and 440 Magnum V8s without modification. Motor Trend named it the best automatic in production in 1968. Its pushbutton or column-shifted variants served the Charger, Challenger, Coronet, and Dart — the entire Mopar B and A-body lineup — sharing the same torque converter, clutch packs, and valve body across all applications.
