🔧 Indian Thunder Stroke 111 / 116 V-Twin
Indian Motorcycle's Thunder Stroke V-twin was introduced in 2014 when Polaris relaunched the Indian brand. It is a 49° V-twin (one of the few non-45° American V-twins in production) that uses a counterbalancer to reduce vibration at highway speeds. The Thunder Stroke 111 (1,811cc) debuted in the Roadmaster 2014; the 116 (1,890cc) variant followed in 2017 for more torque. Both engines share the same block architecture, cylinder head bolt pattern, and pushrod geometry — representing the new Indian's engineering consistency across its cruiser lineup.
