🔧 MAN D26 Inline-6 Diesel Engine
MAN's D26 is a 12.4-litre inline-six diesel used in the TGX and TGS heavy trucks in ratings from 400–640 hp. It is a descendant of the D2866 series used in the classic MAN F2000. Developed in-house at MAN's research centre in Munich, the D26 uses a common-rail system with up to 2,200 bar injection pressure and a variable geometry turbocharger. The TGX 18.560 uses the highest D26 output variant, demonstrating Scania-rivalling performance from a 6-cylinder.
