🔧 Renault M5Pt 1.8T Turbocharged Engine
Renault Sport's M5Pt is the 1.8-litre turbocharged inline-four that powers both the Alpine A110 and the Mégane RS Trophy. Despite looking like a conventional 2.0T competitor, the M5Pt uses a custom exhaust manifold integrated into the cylinder head (similar to the Mercedes M270) to reduce turbo lag. In the A110, it produces 252 hp and weighs just 101 kg thanks to an aluminium block. In the Mégane RS Trophy it is detuned to 296 hp with a torque-biased tune. The same engine, two very different personalities — a compact sports car and a front-wheel-drive hot saloon.
